HIRE ME as an editor for your flash fiction or short story. I’ll provide close reading, copy editing, and story-level suggestions (developmental editing). Specialties are flash and micro fiction, but I am open to other forms, including hybrid work, flash memoir and CNF, and prose poetry.
I am not taking on long-form/book-length editing projects at this time, but will consider chapbooks.

Want a professional editor’s honest, constructive feedback on your flash fiction? I offer an introductory editorial consult on flash stories (fiction or creative nonfiction). This includes close critical reading and may include copy editing (as needed), line-by-line editorial suggestions (as needed), and a holistic commentary on your work. I may also recommend journals that could be a good fit for your story. Comments will be sent by email, but you can also schedule a 20-minute Zoom consultation if you wish.
Rates:
Micro stories up to 399 words: $25 (2-day turnaround in most cases)
Flash stories 400-699 words: $35 (3-day turnaround in most cases)
Flash stories 700-1000 words: $50 (4-day turnaround in most cases)
Stories longer than flash length will be considered, time permitting. Regular rates are a base of $50 for 5 pages, plus $11/page for every page past 5.
